No Love Lost Wine Co: Natural wines made with heart.
As winter melts into spring, the wine world turns its gaze toward wines that reflect renewal, freshness, and the vibrant energy of the season. There’s no better expression of that spirit than No Love Lost Wine Co., a Napa Valley winery reimagining what California wine can be — expressive, accessible, and deeply connected to both people and place.
At the heart of No Love Lost’s philosophy is a commitment to natural, minimally-intervention winemaking — sourcing organically farmed fruit from family-owned vineyards, embracing indigenous yeasts in fermentation, and crafting wines that feel alive, bright, and distinct. These wines pair beautifully with the spirit of spring: light, energetic, and full of life. Unfiltered and expressive, they reflect the soils, the sun, and the season without the heavy hand of oak or overly manipulated cellar techniques.
Jay Nunez: Creative Winemaker & Founder
At the creative helm is winemaker and founder Jay Nunez, a first-generation Cuban American whose unconventional path into wine began far from vineyards. After a decade in the music industry, Jay sold his possessions, moved to Napa Valley, and immersed himself in viticulture and enology, studying and working his way into winemaking before launching No Love Lost in 2019.
Jay’s background — from music, to bartending, to grape farming — gives the wines a rare blend of soulfulness and precision. His philosophy emphasizes the wine’s voice over the winemaker’s ego, capturing region, vineyard, and vintage with clarity and brightness. He champions sustainability, partners with small organic growers, keeping practices carbon-conscious and vegan-friendly, and packaging with sustainability in mind, the winery embraces natural, low-intervention methods without sacrificing flavor or character and strives to make approachable yet intriguing wines that invite curiosity rather than intimidation.
